Magnolia Mayor Todd Kana presented a Proclamation to make Rare disease day official in Magnolia on February 29th. Riley Lee, the Texas State Ambassador for Rare Disease with NORD, and Michelle Epps founder of Kanz 4 Kidz were there to accept the Proclamation.  Rare diseases affect approximately 30 million Americans or 1 in 10 people.

Approximately 30% of children with these debilitating diseases will not live to see their 5th birthday. There are over 7,000 types of rare diseases, with more being found every day.

More information can be found on www.rarediseases.org or you can visit the Kanz for Kidz Facebook page, or email kanzforkidz@gmail.com
